Instructions for Drivers

Note: Our Driveway is shared with orchard traffic, not just quarry trucks.

Visitors must be up to date with our Cameron Quarry site induction by reading the below. This information contains important notices on site rules, regulations, safety, and how we operate our weighbridge system. All visitors must be inducted before entering our site and you must sign in by clicking the check-in button below. If you have questions or require more information please contact us.

CAUTION - Otamrakau School nearby

Cameron Quarry neighbours the Otamarakau School. Please be cautious of school traffic and beware of children around the site entrance and driveway.

Site Rules

Speed Limit 20 km/hr

No engine braking around residential areas

Light vehicles must give way to heavy vehicles

Lights and Beacons must be on

Do not get out of the truck while on site

Communications on CB Channel 8

IN AN EMERGENCY

In the event of an emergency please stay in your truck and wait for instruction on Channel 8.

Weighbridge System

Trucks must go over the weighbridge for each load

All trucks must be entered into our Weighbridge System, before proceeding onto the weighbridge.

  • The barrier arm will automatically lift, enter the weighbridge and it will recognize your number plate.
  • If it doesn’t recognize your number plate, manually enter your number plate as the pin number.
  • The driver chooses a job from the screen (who is paying for the product)
  • The driver chooses which product they require
  • Enter the order number if applicable and Tare in
  • The barrier arm will open for the truck to travel into the quarry, follow signage and communicate on channel 8
  • The full truck will return to the weighbridge to Tare out, a docket will be emailed to the office email supplied.
